This summer, our research group participated in two 24-hour swimming events, swimming a total of 86 km and 72 km, respectively.

2025
Robert Bajons, Rouven Michels, and I again participated in the NFL Big Data Bowl. We developed an HMM to uncover guarding-assignment from pre-snap motion data, allowing us to predict defensive strategies. Click here to view our submission and here for the code.
2024
Robert Bajons, Rouven Michels, Marius Ötting and I participated in the NFL Big Data Bowl 2024. We developed the metric prevented expected points (PEP) to measure the value of tackles.
